Please follow the guide below to move the DataBunker databases. This guide does not move the entire installation as that is not possible, but moves the metadata databases which make up the majority of disk space DataBunker uses.

Please bear in mind that this procedure must be done exactly as below to avoid corruptions of the databases and the inner workings of DataBunker. Failure to do so will result in backups having to be re-created and started from scratch. DataBunker cannot be held liable for any damages caused by incorrectly following this guide.

1. Make sure no backups are running and stop the DataBunker services. Start > Run > services.msc > locate “DataBunker” and right click > Properties > select the start-up type as disabled > click stop to stop the service. Any warnings that pop-up about starting DataBunker, choose NO.

2. Open the following .conf file in notepad – C:\Program Files\Offsite Backups\DataBunker\conf\SGConfiguration.conf

3. Find and edit the folder directory for this tag with your new location - <DBStorageLocation Path="C:\Program Files\Offsite Backups\DataBunker"/> - (For example “D:\DataBunker”)

4. Save and replace the original file

5. Copy the files listed below from C:\Program Files\Offsite Backups\DataBunker\data\ into your new directory. You must create the “data” folder in the new location (For example D:\DataBunker\data) and move the files/folders into it. Do not move them into the folder you created, they must go into the “data” folder.

*All .db files*

*All folders that have the same name(s) as your backup schedules*

6. Your new location should look something like below

7. Change the DataBunker services back to ‘Automatic’ and start them. Make sure you can log back into the web console and that you can see all the schedules. Also recommend scheduling the backups manually, if possible, to make sure they start without issue.

Hope this helps.
